The Oxygen is a performance shortboard built for waves on the faster end of the spectrum, so it’s built with a round pin or thumb tail. The Oxygen has a flowing elliptical outline with no bumps or hips, with a slightly wider nose 1/3 of the way back to accommodate paddling. A single concave is carried the length of the board then releases in the tail with accelerated rocker out the back. The board surfs really tight in the pocket and thrives in fast, barreling waves. This is the type of performance shortboard commonly ridden today on the WCT.
